Release to Receive

Releasing the Old, Becoming Who You're Meant to Be, and Receiving More of What Matters

This isn't a workshop series about decluttering.

It's about creating space for the life you want to live.

Because before you can receive more, you often have to release what no longer belongs.

Not just the clutter in your home...

But the clutter in your mind.

The emotional weight you've been carrying.

The old stories.

The habits.

The beliefs.

The identity you've outgrown.

The truth is, most of what keeps us stuck isn't what we can see.

It's what we've been holding onto.

And sometimes, we have to intentionally choose to let it go.

I've been intentionally decluttering daily since the spring of 2023, and it has changed my life completely.

Sometimes the things I release go in the trash. Sometimes they go to our local Buy Nothing community. And my favorite is when something I no longer need can go to a new home where I know it will be loved and used.

But I've learned that releasing isn't just about getting rid of things.

Intentionally, deliberately releasing is one of the ways I shift my thoughts, feelings, and actions.

It's one of the ways I create change in my life—daily.

We tend to think change and transformation have to be big and instant.

But often, it's the small, simple, sustained changes that create meaningful, lasting transformation.

That's what Release to Receive is about.

And this time, we're going to do it together.

🦋 More Than a Series of Classes

Release to Receive is now a four-part workshop series, but I want it to be more than four classes.

It's about community, connection, contribution, and collaboration.

We'll support each other in the act of releasing.

We'll share our successes and the things that feel hard.

We'll encourage each other to keep going.

And when we can, we're going to allow the things we no longer need to become a contribution to someone else.

Because I believe releasing and generosity can be a first act of faith toward a more abundant life.

When we intentionally create space, we make room for greater peace, health, joy, purpose, stronger relationships, and new opportunities to grow.

And over four workshops, we're going to explore what it means to release on a much deeper level.

Each week, we'll continue the physical act of releasing while exploring what may be underneath the things we're holding onto—the thoughts, feelings, attachments, beliefs, and stories connected to them.

🌿 Workshop One: Releasing the Physical

We'll begin with the things we can see.

We'll explore the physical items we're holding onto and how some of those things can keep us stuck in old actions, old habits, and old identities.

We'll begin intentionally releasing what no longer belongs in the life we're creating.

And as we release, we'll look for opportunities to give generously—to allow something we're finished with to become something someone else can use and enjoy.

🧠 Workshop Two: Releasing the Mental

Then we'll look at the things we can't see—and how they can be connected to the things we can.

The thoughts.

The old stories.

The limiting beliefs.

The worry.

The stress.

The thought patterns that keep us trapped in the same actions and the same outcomes.

We'll begin noticing what we're allowing to take up space in our minds—and intentionally choosing which thoughts we want to carry forward.

And we'll continue physically releasing, this time paying attention to the thoughts, stories, habits, and identities connected to the things we're holding onto.

What are we keeping because we believe we might need it someday?

What belongs to a version of ourselves we've outgrown?

What physical items are keeping us connected to an old story, old habit, or old identity?

We'll practice releasing both the mental clutter and the physical items connected to it.

💜 Workshop Three: Releasing the Emotional

Sometimes it's easy to decide that we don't need something anymore.

Actually releasing it can be another story.

We'll explore the feelings and attachments connected to our belongings, especially the things of sentimental value.

The memories.

The guilt.

The obligation.

The people and experiences an object represents.

We'll explore how we can honor what something has meant to us while also giving ourselves permission to release what we're ready to let go of.

And again, we'll put it into practice.

We'll continue releasing physical items while paying attention to the emotions and attachments connected to them.

Because sometimes we're not just holding onto the item.

We're holding onto what the item represents.

We'll practice releasing both the emotional clutter and, when we're ready, the physical items connected to it.

✨ Workshop Four: Trust, Surrender & Faith

And finally, we'll explore the deeper practice of releasing.

Trust. Surrender. Faith.

What does it look like to release without knowing exactly what comes next?

To give generously instead of holding on because we're afraid there won't be enough?

To trust that creating space isn't only about what we're letting go of—but also about becoming open to what we might receive?

We'll explore the spiritual habits that can help make releasing a way of life.

And we'll continue physically releasing as we notice where fear, scarcity, control, or a lack of trust may be influencing what we're holding onto.

Can I release the thing I've been keeping "just in case"?

Can I generously give something away rather than holding onto it because I might need it someday?

Can I create empty space without immediately needing to fill it?

Can I release something without knowing what will come next?

We'll practice releasing both the spiritual clutter and the physical items connected to it.

Because trees don't wait until spring to release their leaves.

They let go before they can see the new growth.

There is trust in releasing.

And I believe there can be faith in creating space for what comes next.

What Are You Ready to Release?

Physical clutter.

Mental clutter.

Emotional clutter.

Spiritual clutter.

Old stories and limiting beliefs.

Outgrown identities.

Stress and overwhelm.

Scarcity thinking.

And the physical things connected to all of it.

We'll explore all of these together.

And you'll be guided through reflection and, more importantly, the actual practice of releasing.

Because lasting transformation doesn't happen all at once.

It happens one intentional choice at a time.

Every decision becomes evidence.

Evidence of the person you're becoming.

This experience is for you if...

💜 You're ready to release stress instead of continuing to carry it.

🌿 You want to let go of the physical things that no longer belong in the life you're creating.

🧠 You're ready to become more intentional about the thoughts, stories, and beliefs you're carrying.

✨ You know you're meant for more but something still feels stuck.

🏡 You want to create space—not just in your home, but in your mind, your heart, and your life.

🦋 You want to practice releasing alongside other people who are doing it too.

You don't have to change your entire life in one day.

Just take the next step.

Release something.

Create space.

Choose differently.

And begin becoming the person you were created to be.
